It has been bitter cold here in the Valley. Our low yesterday was 2 degrees with a wind chill of -4. I applauded the school system for not delaying the start of classes.
We have our first real snow of the season today. Three to four inches of the finest powder you have seen welcomed us this morning. It is so fine that as soon as the sun peaked over the mountain is started to melt even though is still far below freezing. Our expected high today is forecast to reach 30.
The kids did get a day off and are outside now braving the elements. It’s not good snowman snow but they seem to be tearing up the hillside with their sleds.
I plan to post some pictures later today after I’ve taken a few more. In the meantime, enjoy the day!
