One half hour from kick-off. Cheers!
One last gameday tradition to share is the “toast.” We’ve gotten away from it this year for whatever the reason but today for the Georgia game it’s coming back in a big way. The Toast is remembering someone special with each drink you sip on gameday. Normally we toast to family members past and present, friends in far away places, or say a special prayer as we light a candle.
Today’s toast is for our Veterans. As I’ve been reading a book by Donald Miller entitled Masters of the Air, I’m especially mindful of those yanks flying bombers in the air war against Nazi Germany. However, it’s also for my many ancestors that fought in the American Revolution, American Civil, and World Wars.
Cheers!
