Greetings from Raleigh, North Carolina where we’ve made the first stop of our New Year’s road trip through the Carolinas. Why Carolina? Well we are going to see Mother – a late Santa delivery (shhh…)
Mom’s in the Asheville, NC area. We expect to be cruising through an impending winter storm tomorrow but will BBQ hop our way to her. From there who knows?
Hale wants to work in a few battlefields and history. Cowpens and Chickamauga are pinned on the map. So is the USS North Carolina in Wilmington. There is a lot of ground to cover so we’re working our agenda on the fly.
Our goal: at least one BBQ joint a day until we hit Richmond back on 1/2.
